About Our Chapter

The Magnolias Chapter of National Charity League, Inc.

In 1998, The Magnolias became the third chapter of National Charity League, Inc. to organize in The Woodlands, Texas.  The need for a third chapter was due to the growing population in the area.  The first board meeting was held on September 15, 1998 and the first official chapter meeting of The Magnolias was held on September 28, 1998. The Magnolias Chapter was officially chartered in 2000. Today, The Magnolias’ membership has grown to over 250 Patronesses and Ticktockers.
The purpose of the National Charity League is to support the community through volunteer work.  The Magnolias Chapter’s philanthropies include, amongst others, Interfaith of the Woodlands, YMCA, Pregnancy Assistance Center North, South Montgomery County Library, the Salvation Army and Special Olympics.
The Ticktocker experience strives to provide the opportunities for each girl to know the joy of helping others, to learn tolerance and kindness, to make friends while sharing and participating in these activities, and to strengthen the mother-daughter relationship.
