The National Charity League’s Southlake chapter had its most successful fundraising year yet.

Established in 1997, the National Charity League is a group of mothers and daughters who foster relationships through community service. Recently hosting its 27th annual fashion show and benefiton March 3, the League reported that 2024 was its biggest year yet, raising $122,500 through its local philanthropy and community partners.

“We are so grateful that the community showed up and supported the hard work of our fashion show team and entire chapter at our annual fashion show fundraiser,” president Carrie Ruck says. “Their support allowed us to raise a record-breaking amount that will be given to numerous philanthropies serving our community. The momentum and joy around this event and the outcome is already at work as we have begun plans for next year’s fundraiser. We are truly so appreciative of everyone in the community who joined us and helped make this happen.”

Rancho Santa Fe Review

February 22, 2024

On Saturday, Feb. 10, military families from Camp Pendelton were showered with gifts as 17 National Charity League, Inc. chapters across Southern California came together to support them with a zebra-themed baby shower. The event was held at Christ the King Church in Fallbrook, according to a news release.

Military families with little ones on the way or with newborns were treated to a day of shower games, snacks, activities for the whole family, a photo booth and more. Each family also went home with a gift basket filled with baby items such as clothes, blankets, toys, bottles, and newborn needs including a diaper cake.

The Del Norte Chapter classes of 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 volunteered to purchase and create baskets for boys and girls, and a December diaper drive collected enough diapers to create 32 diaper cakes for the military families. Throughout the early days of February class groups got together to collect and assemble the baskets and on Feb. 10 Ticktockers dressed in Zebra-themed outfits to congratulate the new families and pass out the gift baskets…

The National Charity League, Inc. Texas Pearl Chapter participated in NCL’s third annual “National Day of Service”, held on January 15, 2024, also recognized as Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day of Service.

The Texas Lantana Chapter mother-daughter teams have volunteered nearly 3,000 philanthropy hours in the 2023-2024 service year and look forward to keeping up the strong pace of volunteerism in 2024, the organization said in a news release this month. Over the past seven months, the chapter has partnered with local groups and organizations such as Dogwood Estates, Tarrant Area Food Bank, UP Ministries and more. National organizations like Wreaths Across America and Operation Gratitude are also a part of the organization’s philanthropic partners, as they strive for a commitment to serve locally and beyond.

“Our organization continues to thrive by jumping in to help local philanthropies meet their needs, by being volunteers they can count on to serve,” said Texas Lantana Chapter Patroness Kim Reding. Kim and her daughter Ramey joined the Texas Lantana Chapter of NCL at its inception in 2016.
