About Our Chapter
NCL, Inc., Poway Chapter is a group of mothers and daughters who have come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
Members shall reside in, or her daughter shall attend, a school within the Poway Unified School District boundaries. Like all NCL, Inc. Chapters, Poway aims to foster the mother-daughter relationship by serving its communities together.
The Poway chapter of National Charity League, Inc., is proud to announce the application for our annual Gayle Kennedy Memorial Scholarship is open.
Each year NCL Poway fundraises in order to honor Poway Unified School District seniors with a scholarship.
The scholarship is named after former NCL, Poway member, Gayle Kennedy who was a teacher before passing away from cancer. NCL Poway awards its scholarship in her name to PUSD senior girls who wish to continue Gayle Kennedy’s legacy as an educator.
This merit and financial based scholarship is open to seniors who attend one of the six PUSD high schools and who demonstrate community involvement, a commitment to education, and can demonstrate financial need.
The application link can be found at the NCL Gayle Kennedy Memorial Scholarship Application website and applications close April 30, 2021. Recipients will be notified in May.
Previous recipients have been graduates of Chapman University, Stanford graduate school, and SDSU students.
