About Our Chapter
NCL, Inc., Madison City Chapter is a group of mothers and daughters who have come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
Members shall reside in or attend school in Madison County, AL and the surrounding area. Like all NCL, Inc. Chapters, Madison City aims to foster the mother-daughter relationship by serving its communities together.
The Core Program and Three Pillars of National Charity League
National Charity League offers a six-year Core Program, which begins in 7th grade. The Program is a thoughtfully designed curriculum to provide well-rounded enrichment to the girls (referred to as Ticktockers) during their six years in NCL. The focus on each grade level is independent and builds one year after the next.
The three main pillars of the Core Program curriculum are:
- Community Service: Our desire is to learn what philanthropic needs exist in our community and to help meet those needs whenever possible.
- Leadership: Our intent is to enhance potential leadership skills through team building, problem-solving, mentoring, and group dynamics.
- Cultural: Our goal is to create an environment that nurtures positive identity by recognizing and appreciating the value of differences in each other and the world.

We preserve National Charity League traditions and core values, while appreciating the growth that comes from connecting with different communities and cultures. We continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives.
- Traditions – We celebrate the richness of our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future.
- Values – We embrace values that make us strong as an organization of mother-daughter leaders.
- Community Connections – We build connections through experiences that impact our communities.

We also place a strong emphasis on social and business etiquette, good manners, and respect for others.

Our Chapter History
The Madison City Chapter was officially formed on March 6, 2020 as the first National Charity League chapter in North Alabama.

Our chapter will forever be grateful to the initial, small group of big-hearted, caring moms who took the lead to build our chapter. We advanced to chartered chapter status in June 2022.
