Texas Diamonds

About Our Chapter

NCL, Inc., Texas Diamonds Chapter is a group of mothers and daughters who have come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
Members shall reside in or attend school in Cy-Ranch HS, Bridgeland HS, Cy-Park HS, Katy ISD (North of I-10) or Waller ISD. Like all NCL, Inc. Chapters, Texas Diamonds aims to foster the mother-daughter relationship by serving its communities together.

The story of the Texas Diamonds Chapter’s formation began with Monica Vrana’s determination in March 2019. After experiencing a setback with another chapter, Monica rallied nine strangers to join her as board members, each committed to creating something special. The momentum grew on May 16, 2019, when more than 40 moms gathered for the Chapter Formation Meeting, exceeding the required number to start the chapter. By August 20, 2019, excitement peaked at the First Kick-Off Meeting, where all but one mom and daughter pair showed up, forming a strong founding group of 73 members.

The journey reached a proud moment on April 7, 2020, when the Texas Diamonds Chapter received its official “Charter” status. Since then, our chapter has flourished, now counting over 220 members who passionately support 22 local philanthropies and collaborate with five national philanthropic partners.

Our mission is to empower mothers and daughters by engaging them locally through meaningful programs and events centered around the three NCL pillars, philanthropy, culture, and leadership. In addition to volunteering for our philanthropic causes, our chapter members participate in several annual events, including:

  • Mother/Daughter Tea
  • Fall Chapter Kick-Off
  • Cultural Events
  • New Member Social
  • NCL Awards
  • Senior Recognition

We are a proud recipient of the

Blue Rose Chapter Award for 2019-2020.

Cultural Experiences

We preserve National Charity League traditions and core values, while appreciating the growth that comes from connecting with different communities and cultures. We continually strive to build stronger ties with our communities and the individuals within them. It is through this understanding that we grow and develop broader worldviews that will shape and support our lives.

  • Traditions – We celebrate the richness of our history through traditions that honor the past while serving the future.
  • Values – We embrace values that make us strong as an organization of mother-daughter leaders.
  • Community Connections – We build connections through experiences that impact our communities.
  • Etiquette – We encourage and mentor kind, respectful and gracious social conduct.

The Texas Diamonds Chapter of NCL, Inc. is a vibrant community where mothers and daughters come together to make a difference and grow as future leaders. We focus on building strong ties within our community, learning from those around us, and gaining a deeper understanding of the world. By honoring traditions, we connect with our past while preparing to serve and shape the future.

We participate in a wide range of community events and activities that help us appreciate different cultures and develop a sense of empathy and inclusion. Whether we’re exploring the arts, discussing diversity, or learning about tolerance, each experience helps us grow. We also place a strong emphasis on social and business etiquette, good manners, and respect for others.
