The philanthropic mother/daughter volunteer organization, the National Charity League, del Norte Chapter (NCL), have joined forces with District Attorney Summer Stephan and Chief Deputy District Attorney Tracy Prior to help with the office’s personal project that bloomed from their hearts: One Safe Place: The North County Family Justice Center, according to a news release.

One Safe Place: The North County Family Justice Center (OSP) provides free support services to anyone who has experienced child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, hate crimes, elder abuse, human trafficking, violent loss, family violence, or other abuse or victimization. The center provides comprehensive help in a safe and judgment-free environment to empower people to move forward with their lives. They typically aid an average of 50 trafficked and domestic abuse victims a week. They opened nearly 27 years ago and last year, they assisted over 2,500 people.
