The gift of giving extends far beyond the holiday season with Northeast Tarrant County’s Summer Santa program, which has enriched the lives of local children for over 25 years.

With the help of over 400 volunteers and generous sponsors, the 2023 Summer Santa projects served more families than ever before, with new clothes and school supplies going toward over 700 families.

In partnership with the National Charity League, Summer Santa’s camp project gives children of all ages the opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, make new friends and break away from the challenges they may be facing at home. This year, Summer Santa provided over 160 scholarships for in-person summer camp enrollment. For those preferring an alternative to in-person summer camps, Summer Santa distributed Camp in a Box to 325 families that contained fun-filled enrichment activities for kids to accomplish over the school break.
