National Charity League of San Diego honors giving at members’ tea

The San Diego chapter of the National Charity League presented its awards tea Nov. 5 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine hotel to welcome new members and honor all the participants for their philanthropy in the past year.
The San Diego chapter has nearly 300 mother and daughter members (the daughters are called Ticktockers) in grades 7-12 who perform more than 12,600 hours of hands-on volunteer service each year for 28 area charities and nonprofit organizations.
The members who contributed the most hours were given awards at the event.
